2023 Structure Exemption Application

Before you start...

This form is for structure exemption applications for any structures. It must be submitted before 1st February 2023.

You can either download a copy of the application form (download link) and e-mail it to info@siafd.co.nz OR fill in an online version below.


The following documentation will be required for pole shed/structures in both versions of the application forms:

  • Floorplan diagram.
  • A set of detailed plans of the construction details including concrete footing details.
  • Producer Statement (PS1) which needs to be less than 12 months old when submitting the application.
  • A detailed site plan showing exact location (with dimensions) within their allotted site.
  • If your estimated maximum occupant load of people in your structure will be 100+ then you will need to submit an evacuation procedure with a designated fire warden. You can submit this separately to info@siafd.co.nz by the 1st February 2023, for approval by Fire and Emergency New Zealand.

Please note; for structures with large occupant numbers of 100+ pax, an evacuation procedure with designated Fire Warden, needs to be emailed to info@siafd.co.nz by the 1st February, for approval by Fire and Emergency New Zealand.

3. Declaration

I will ensure the structure on my site is kept safe and secure at all times and at least one fire extinguisher will be present on my site during the entire field days event. I will ensure the concrete footings will be removed from the site when structure is dismantled, and the site is left as we found it.
 
 
 

SIAFD will invoice you $300+GST for the structure consent under our blanket exemption which must be paid before 28 February 2023 (please do not pay this consent fee directly to the Selwyn District Council).

The SIAFD is a story of success. It has been the result of hard work by young farmers since 1951. About 175 members have served on the organising committee and several hundred others have worked during the field days providing the hands on approach needed to prepare for and run successful events.
