Marquee Exemption Application

Before you start...

This form is for marquee exemption applications for marquees over 100m2. It must be submitted before 1st February 2019.

You can either download a copy of the application form (download link) and e-mail it to info@siafd.co.nz OR fill in an online version below.


The following documentation will be required for both versions:

  • Floorplan diagram.
  • Marquee Fabric Fire test for flammability AS 1530.2.
  • Producer Statement (PS1) for the design of the marquee.
  • If your estimated maximum occupant load of people in your marquee will be 100+ then you will need to submit an evacuation procedure with a designated fire warden. You can submit this separately to info@siafd.co.nz by the 1st February, for approval by Fire and Emergency New Zealand.

Please note; for marquees with large occupant numbers of 100+ pax, an evacuation procedure with designated Fire Warden, needs to be emailed to info@siafd.co.nz by the 1st February, for approval by Fire and Emergency New Zealand.

This information will generally be supplied by the Marquee Hire Company, which the exhibitor should be responsible for obtaining and attaching to this application. Please ensure that the certificate provided is in accordance with AS 1530.2 (NOT AS 1530.1) NZAS 1530.2 Flammability test example.pdf [PDF, 78 KB]

 

3. Declaration

I will ensure the marquee(s) on my site is/are kept safe and secure at all times and at least one fire extinguisher will be present on my site during the entire field days event *
 
 
 

SIAFD will invoice you $300+GST for the marquee consent under our blanket exemption which must be paid before 28 February 2019 (please do not pay this consent fee directly to the Selwyn District Council).
